U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz reaffirmed American support for Israel at a New York event on October 6 marking three years since Hamas's October 7 attack. He saluted survivors' resilience and said President Donald Trump remained determined to prevent renewed Hamas rearmament and Iranian support for proxies. Waltz backed the existing Gaza framework, describing a territory without Hamas rule, demilitarization, an international stabilization force and reconstruction. He acknowledged that its success was not guaranteed and pledged continued American support for the Jewish people. He also cited the Abraham Accords and Israel-Morocco cooperation as enduring regional partnerships.
