Omri and Lishay Miran Speak at First Salon Otef Event at President’s Residence

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of the President’s Residence garden in Jerusalem, with plain Israeli flags, red roses and a large tree beside a paved courtyard. Archival place context; it does not depict Omri and Lishay Miran or the Salon Otef gathering.

Omri Miran and his wife, Lishay Lavie Miran, spoke Monday at the first Salon Otef gathering at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem. Miran described 738 days in Hamas captivity, movement through more than 20 locations and his uncertainty about his family’s fate. He said seeing his father marching in Hostages Square gave him something to hold onto during captivity. The couple discussed the family’s uncertainty and continuing physical and psychological recovery, in a conversation moderated by journalist and director Ben Shani.
