The Israel Football Association announced that UEFA had approved its request for Israel's national team to wear black armbands in tonight's match against Ireland. The request was made in memory of those murdered in the October 7 massacre, the association said in its October 4 statement. The approval allows the national team to mark their memory during the scheduled match, with the tribute still planned for the evening. The association concluded its announcement with the words, “May their memory be a blessing.”
