The Defense Ministry’s Families, Commemoration and Heritage Department reported Sunday that 1,318 people had been added to Israel’s roll of fallen since October 7, 2023. The figures cover IDF, police, Shin Bet, Prison Service, fire and rescue, local security coordinators and community defense-team members who fought in Gaza, southern and northern Israel, Lebanon and Judea and Samaria. More than 7,150 relatives joined the bereaved-family population: 2,143 parents, 355 widows, 880 orphans and 3,772 siblings. The ministry released the figures ahead of the war’s third anniversary.
