Ofakim Announces October 4-5 Community Memorial Program

Ofakim has announced municipal remembrance and community events on October 4-5, marking three years since October 7 and the ensuing war. An October 4 ceremony will bring together bereaved families, residents and public representatives. The program includes an "Empty Chair" installation, family-writing workshops called "Stories From the Heart," and a film and panel with participants in the battle in Ofakim. Young people will meet bereaved-family representatives and take part in planting and creative remembrance activities in the Fallen's Grove. Rami Kleinstein will close the program with a concert incorporating residents' texts developed in the workshops.
