Education Ministry Officials Say Kisch Ordered Cancellation of National Achievement Tests

Education Ministry officials said on Tuesday that Education Minister Yoav Kisch had directed the cancellation of the national Meitzav achievement tests, also known as Tnufa. The tests assess pupils’ achievement within Israel’s education system. The unnamed officials also said he had instructed the ministry and RAMA, the National Authority for Measurement and Evaluation in Education, not to cooperate with one another. Kisch had not provided an official response to the reported instructions when the brief was published on Tuesday morning.
