Zamir Approves Unit 9900 Commander to Lead IDF’s First Space Brigade

Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir approved on Monday the appointment of Brig. Gen. S., who commands Military Intelligence’s Unit 9900, to lead the IDF’s first space brigade. The new formation will consolidate the military’s central space projects and the processes for building its capabilities in that field. Defense Minister Israel Katz is working to accelerate projects and shorten procurement procedures. Those efforts follow lessons from operations in Iran.
