Education Ministry Reports Matriculation Eligibility Rose to 77.9% in 2025

The Education Ministry released its 2025 Educational Picture data, reporting that matriculation eligibility among 12th-grade students rose from 76.6% to 77.9%, an annual increase of 1.3 percentage points. The results came against the background of examination accommodations introduced during the war. The adjustments were intended to support pupils, particularly those in Gaza-border communities and northern Israel, and were approved in coordination with university representatives. Some physics and biology examinations, including laboratory examinations, were assessed internally by schools rather than through external examinations.
