Meirav Cohen Pledges to Build Public Trust in Proposed Education Overhaul

Meirav Cohen said Wednesday that building trust among all Israeli citizens would be her first goal during a prospective first 100 days in the Education Ministry. In a Hebrew-language post and accompanying interview clip, she linked public confidence in her proposed education overhaul to her own conduct. Cohen said she would choose highly qualified professionals without political considerations and prepare work plans serving the whole public rather than a particular political constituency. She also called for budgets to serve substantive goals rather than short-term political credit, linking trust to personal example.
