Golan Urges Security Chiefs to Block Military Moves Driven by Political Interests

In an October 21 statement, Yair Golan urged the IDF chief of staff and security-service leaders to resist any use of the military for political purposes. He accused Benjamin Netanyahu of prioritizing personal and political survival over Israel’s security ahead of the election. Golan said Netanyahu lacked legitimacy to launch another military campaign for those reasons and called on security chiefs to block moves serving personal interests under the guise of security needs. He urged citizens to vote on October 27 to replace the government.
