Meirav Cohen Proposes NIS 30 Billion Funding Shift Toward IDF Service Members

Meirav Cohen proposed redirecting NIS 30 billion toward IDF service members by ending public funding for people she describes as avoiding conscription and bodies she says encourage it. In an October 20 post, she said the restrictions should cover educational frameworks from kindergarten onward. Cohen argued that cutting this funding and directing the money to those serving would encourage enlistment and ease living costs. Her post presented a policy proposal, without a budget breakdown, implementation timetable or legislative text; it did not announce that the funding had been transferred.
