Rabbi Shapira Says He Paused Personal Activities to Help Smotrich’s Campaign

In a statement shared Tuesday evening on Bezalel Smotrich’s Telegram channel, Rabbi Yehoshua Shapira, head of the Ramat Gan yeshiva, said he had put his personal activities on hold until election day to help Smotrich and the national camp win. Shapira said he was prepared to do whatever was needed to help Religious Zionism succeed in the election. He also urged others to assist the party’s campaign. He framed the appeal as a response to what he described as a grave danger.
