Katz Calls for More Hotel Rooms and Lower Holiday Prices at The Yacht Launch

Tourism Minister Haim Katz called for expanding Israel's hotel-room supply, increasing competition and reducing holiday prices in remarks posted on October 21. Katz said he attended the launch event for The Yacht, a hotel in Fattal's Limited Edition collection at Herzliya Marina, that evening. He linked the priorities to preparations for the return of tourists. He also called for quality, affordable holidays that would encourage Israelis to vacation within the country. His statement presented those aims without a funding amount, a room target or an implementation timetable.
