IDF and Shin Bet Say Khan Younis Strike Killed Popular Resistance Committees Chief

The IDF and Shin Bet announced on October 22 that an airstrike in Gaza’s Khan Younis area the previous day killed Ramadan Muhammad Ashhada Diab, the local head of the Popular Resistance Committees terrorist organization. They said Diab advanced attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians and worked to rebuild Hamas’s capabilities in violation of the ceasefire. The joint statement linked his organization to Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. It said the group’s terrorists took part in the October 7 attack on Israel, killing and abducting civilians and soldiers.
