Hezbollah Reportedly Renews Pledge to Stay Out of a New Iran War

Hezbollah has reportedly renewed its assurance to Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri that it would stay out of a new war involving Iran. Berri reportedly relayed the message to President Joseph Aoun, placing the latest pledge before Lebanon’s head of state. The account describes private communications, rather than a public commitment by Hezbollah. The reported assurance follows an earlier pledge to Berri that Hezbollah reversed in March, when it fired six rockets at Israel after Iranian leader Ali Khamenei was killed.
