Railway Works Disrupt Ayalon Traffic Beyond Planned 8 a.m. Finish

Motorists reported congestion on the Ayalon Highway on Saturday morning, October 24, as Israel Railways carried out infrastructure work. The work had been scheduled to finish at 8 a.m., but drivers reported that traffic disruption continued after that deadline. The operation began at 8 p.m. on Friday and forms part of a national project to lengthen station platforms so they can accommodate longer trains and more passengers. The approved traffic arrangements involved reducing lanes and diverting vehicles rather than closing the highway completely.
