Flights Into Ben Gurion Carry More Passengers Than Return Services Ahead of Election

Selected flights into Ben Gurion Airport carried more passengers than their outbound counterparts on October 25, ahead of Tuesday’s election. A flight from Batumi brought 178 passengers, compared with 69 on the outgoing service, while a Berlin flight carried 170 arriving passengers against 100 departing. The day’s schedule listed 213 incoming flights and 206 departures. Israel Airports Authority forecasts cited in the report put arrivals during October 13–26 at about 452,000, versus 375,000 departures, a projected gap of 77,000. The figures do not establish how many passengers returned specifically to vote.
