Golan Backs IDF Chief, Says Military Action Needs Clear Security Purpose

Yair Golan said on October 25 that he fully backed the IDF chief of staff in carrying out his professional duty. In a Hebrew post, he said military action must be based on a clear security need, serve a strategic purpose and rest on a responsible operational plan. Golan addressed voters heading to the polls on Tuesday, urging them to remember that position when they cast their ballots. He also accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of posing a threat to Israel's security.
