Shlomo Filber Claims Election Polls Are Used to Shape Public Opinion

Pollster Shlomo Filber said news organizations commissioning election surveys have agendas and use polling to influence public opinion. Speaking with interviewer Oded Harush, he attributed differences between his results and those of other pollsters partly to his political experience and understanding of right-wing voters. Asked whether pollsters coordinate their findings, Filber said he did not know whether that happens routinely, while claiming they seek a uniform result in election-day exit polls. These were Filber’s allegations about polling practices; the account of his interview supplied no evidence establishing coordination.
