Polling-Station Secretaries Report Gaps in Training on Elector Ban

Several polling-station secretaries said their training did not address the prohibition on using applications such as Elector to transmit information about voters on election day. The Central Elections Committee said it had updated the training following a High Court decision, but participants said the issue was not mentioned in their courses. Their accounts instead described instructions on photography restrictions inside polling stations and procedures in the event of war. The secretaries’ responsibilities include safeguarding the integrity of voting at polling stations.
