Border Police Arrest Fatah Suspect in Kafr Dan Clothing Store

Undercover Border Police officers arrested a wanted Fatah member in a clothing store in the Kafr Dan area last night, Israel Police announced on November 3. Police said the man was suspected of involvement in advancing terrorist activity. The operation was conducted under Shin Bet direction and Menashe Brigade command. According to the police statement, the wanted man had maintained contacts with additional people while allegedly promoting terrorist activity and had been hiding from security forces for a period. The statement did not name him or specify how long he had been in hiding. It described the clothing store as the place where officers suspected he was concealed. Officers approached the business undercover, surrounded the building and called on the man to surrender, police said. After realizing that the building was surrounded, he emerged "with his hands raised," according to the statement. The officers then arrested him at the scene. The business owner was also arrested on suspicion of helping the wanted man and hiding him at the premises over a period. During a search, officers found mobile phones and other findings that the police statement did not specify. Both suspects were transferred to security forces for further questioning.
