Daniel Barzilai won Israel’s first season of The Voice All Stars in the final on Tuesday evening, November 3. Barzilai, who competed on Eden Ben Zaken’s team, prevailed over Yehali Amos Akunis in the last head-to-head vote. The deciding votes came from viewers watching at home, after earlier rounds had narrowed the field of four finalists. Each of the four mentors had a contestant in the final. Yehali Amos Akunis, representing Static’s team, finished second. Shorty, from Noa Kirel’s team, took third place, while Loay Ali, who competed with Idan Raichel as his mentor, finished fourth and left the competition at the beginning of the final. Barzilai began his final performances with “Man in the Mirror,” originally sung by Michael Jackson. The combined vote of the mentors and the studio audience then sent him through to the next round. His next performance was “Hayom Kamti Sameach,” or “Today I Woke Up Happy,” originally sung by Hanan Ben Ari. Following the other finalists’ performances, another calculation of the votes established the concluding pairing of Barzilai and Yehali Amos Akunis. That left the two singers competing directly for the season’s title. The final audience vote from home put Barzilai in first place and settled the result of the inaugural All Stars season.
