Haifa Airport Announces Parking Link Through Extended Egged Route 100

Haifa Airport passengers will be able to leave their cars at the private Julius Simon parking lot and travel to the terminal on Egged Route 100 from Sunday, November 8. The Israel Airports Authority announced the arrangement on November 4 as a way to improve airport access for residents of Haifa and the north. The bus route will be extended to the parking lot and serve the airport in both directions. It will link Merkazit HaMifratz, Haifa Airport and the Julius Simon lot. The authority described the parking connection as an interim arrangement until a permanent airport parking lot is established. Its announcement did not give a completion date for that facility or specify parking charges or capacity. The arrangement was coordinated with the Ministry of Transport, the National Public Transport Authority, Haifa Municipality, Egged and Israel Ports Company. The announced service covers Sunday through Thursday and Friday, with buses generally running every 30 minutes during most operating hours. Additional early-morning and evening journeys are included according to the timetable. Passengers were asked to check journeys in both directions against their flight times and plan their arrival in advance. The authority directed travelers to Egged's website and its *2800 information service for the full route, stops and timetable. The November 8 start date applies to the announced parking-and-bus arrangement.
