Rehovot Youth Center Lists December Workshops for Service Members and Families
Haplatforma, Rehovot's youth center, has listed five December sessions for mobilized service members and their families. The program at 80 Remez Street includes activities for couples, parents and children, and wives of mobilized service members. Places are limited, and participation requires advance registration. The sessions run from December 8 to December 29. The first workshop, on Tuesday, December 8, at 18:00, is an aromatherapy session for wives of mobilized service members. Participants will make natural care products, with a fee of NIS 70 per person. Two dessert-shaped candle workshops follow on Wednesday, December 9. The 16:30 session is for a parent and child from mobilized families and costs NIS 50 per pair. The second candle workshop begins at 19:00 that evening and is intended for mobilized service members and their partners. Participants will design individual candles using colors, scents and decorations. That session costs NIS 50 per participant. A separate parent-child activity using virtual-reality headsets is scheduled for Tuesday, December 15, at 17:30, at NIS 80 per pair. The program concludes with a couples' evening on Tuesday, December 29, at 19:00, ahead of the new year. Intended for mobilized service members and their partners, it combines conversation about coping and resilience with a cocktail workshop, games, challenges and a fire performance. The fee is NIS 50 per participant, and advance registration is required for this session as well.
