On the eve of Rosh Hashanah, we as a state and as a nation have a moral duty toward this dear young man, Aviad Frija. A reservist who fought in Gaza, found himself caught in a murderous terror attack, rose from his hiding place in the midst of a firefight, and ran into the inferno to take down a terrorist. According to all the findings, Aviad also killed at least one of the terrorists at the scene. And tragically, he became involved in a painful and regrettable friendly-fire incident that ended with the death of the hero Yuval Castelman, who also ran to the scene with supreme bravery. No one thinks that Frija ran to kill Castelman. No one thinks he intended to murder an innocent person. At most, he is accused of wanting to deliberately kill the terrorist and of acting unprofessionally, even though this claim too is highly doubtful and contradicted by many findings at the scene. While we celebrate around the holiday table, we will remember this hero too. Because Aviad Frija became a victim of the justice system and the military prosecution long ago. He is being persecuted by prosecutors who apparently have never found themselves at the scene of a terror attack, never tasted fear, and certainly never fought in Gaza like he did or experienced the trauma of war. So, just before the new year, it is time to say sorry to Aviad too and wish him a year in which he can turn over a new leaf, after two years of persecution through no fault of his own.
Translated from HebrewAnyone who tells me that Winter will get through. Then Shasha Biton
Translated from HebrewInteresting that in the polls of left-wing channels, the parties that burn mandates for the right always pass. Then in reality they are wiped out below the electoral threshold.
Translated from HebrewWinter: The public demands that I run all the way to the end The public in response:
Translated from HebrewWinter is running toward the abyss and is ready to burn the votes of the national camp because of ego and megalomania. This event could end in the right losing power. He and his friends must show national responsibility and resign. These are things I said on Channel 13 with @Bar_ShemUr
Translated from HebrewWinter claimed that new forces are needed in politics - so after yesterday's reserved slots in Likud and Religious Zionism, he can retire. There are new and responsible forces that will bring change to the national camp
Translated from HebrewThe heads of the local authorities in Judea and Samaria, in an emergency letter, demand that Yehuda Eliyahu’s dismissal from the Israel Land Authority be stopped
Translated from HebrewWell done to the prime minister! The prime minister stopped the attempt to oust Yehuda Eliyahu and informed Haim Katz that “it won’t happen.” Likud statement: Prime Minister Netanyahu approved the appointment of Yehuda Eliyahu as acting director general of the Israel Land Authority, which is doing important national work in the Galilee and the Negev, and he will not be fired.
Translated from HebrewIf there’s someone I was disappointed didn’t get onto any of the various centrist lists, it’s Abir Kara. A pure missed opportunity in the fight against the high cost of living and Israel’s sick bureaucracy. I wish he would continue leading the important work outside the Knesset against charlatans, fraudsters, and plain old communists.
Translated from HebrewAnyone who gives in to bullying and remains silent about Yehuda Eliyahu’s dismissal as head of the Israel Land Authority will abandon the Negev and Galilee.
Translated from HebrewMeanwhile on the campaign index: Shas, of course, is leading at the top. 10 out of 10. Pros.
Translated from HebrewGood morning, Government of Israel, come on, give them a fitting Zionist response: evacuate Khan al-Ahmar today. It's time!
Translated from HebrewBy the way: Did you notice that the Fourth Quarter movement ultimately did not submit a list for the Knesset? Yoav Heller founded Fourth Quarter as a “non-political” movement for unity among the people and bridging the right and left and all the usual jazz. They swept up good, naive people who genuinely want unity and connection. They held conferences and events attended by hundreds of people. Then, the moment elections were announced, they tried to make a political exit and turn the movement into a party. But it turned out there was no message, no charisma, and they interested no one. They were not even sampled in the polls, and the masses did not come. Thus, another heavily funded left-wing movement breathed its last in a faint silence, and of course it was “not political” at all.
Translated from HebrewSmotrich nailed it
Translated from HebrewAs an aside: It is very strange to see the right-wing lists submit their lists today on time, well before the penultimate minute, without briefings against one another and without battles and mud-slinging until the very last moment. What can we say, this is not the Religious Zionism we knew…
Translated from HebrewNothing could be more fitting. On the day Britain announces sanctions against the settlements, the Religious Zionism Party reserves a spot on its slate for Reut Ben Haim, leader of Order 9, who blocked aid trucks to Gaza and was targeted by European and American sanctions. Great honor, Reut!
Translated from HebrewTo sum up: Likud took Elisha Meidan and Talik Gvili. Religious Zionism took Itamar Eitam and Zvika Mor. And Bennett took Yonatan Shalev.
Translated from HebrewItamar Eitam in Religious Zionism is a huge coup. On the morning of 7.10, he went south with his father, Brigadier General Efi Eitam, fought in the battles, and saved lives. Afterwards, he joined the war as a reserve battalion commander and was seriously wounded in the war. Without a doubt, he is one of the heroes of the war and, no less than that, a man willing to fight the war of ideas. Itamar is awesome!
Translated from HebrewElisha Meidan, David Peter and Yaakov Bardugo are reserved picks who make the Likud party the strongest player in Israeli politics and will propel the Likud campaign forward. The magician is alive and kicking. An interview of mine with @Idotauber on Channel 14 @C14_news
Translated from HebrewDr. Michael Ben Ari is an inspiration. Despite being pushed out of the joint list with Feiglin, his announcement that he will not run for the Knesset alone and will not waste votes is a model of national responsibility and a lesson in humility and modesty for us all. Did you see Winter? This is what responsibility looks like! @drmichaelbenari
Translated from HebrewI understand that, according to the left-wing media, Netanyahu is guilty because he listened to the entire defense establishment, which told him again and again that Hamas was deterred. So think for yourselves what would have happened if Netanyahu had dared not to listen to Haliva, Ronen Bar, and Herzi, and had launched a preemptive attack against Hamas. That same media that is now shouting, Why didn’t he do it?, would have launched a political war campaign and claimed that Netanyahu was sacrificing the lives of our soldiers. Enough already with the populism. We see right through you.
Translated from HebrewWow, what wonderful news! The wonderful Talik Gvili! Welcome to Likud! What an amazing coup! I got to know Talik up close during the Hope Forum's struggle to bring the sons home, with strength and determination. I saw her up close fighting like a real lioness to bring back her hero Rani. I saw her strength and her great spirit. Talik Gvili, you are an asset to the people of Israel! National pride!
Translated from HebrewElisha, welcome to Likud! How good that you came home. National pride!
Translated from HebrewThe next elections in Israel will determine the future of the Jewish state. The global left and the progressives are trying to topple the right-wing government. But we will win. We must win. We will do everything so that Prime Minister Netanyahu continues to lead the State of Israel for many more years to come.
