They “solved” the problem for the army and the local defense squads were established: the settlers would recruit from among themselves to protect the communities. In the reality after October 7, this sounds logical and right. In practice, the rioting settlers receive uniforms, weapons, and money (!!) for reserve-duty days during which they abuse Palestinians.
