Accounts Split on Who Launched Saudi Attacks From Iraq

Two regional officials said Houthi forces and Iran-aligned Iraqi armed groups jointly launched this week's attacks on Saudi Arabia from Iraqi territory under Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps supervision. Saudi Arabia's official account blamed Iran-affiliated militias in Iraq, while the Houthis separately claimed the strikes and an Iraqi militia umbrella denied Saudi accusations and pointed to Yemen's rebels. The attacks targeted oil facilities in the Eastern Province, according to Saudi and regional accounts. Saudi and U.S. forces later struck militia logistics and weapons sites in Iraq, and Baghdad said it was investigating the launches.
