Likud spokesman Guy Levy said Wednesday that reserved slate slots for former Mossad director Yossi Cohen and former IDF chief of staff Gabi Ashkenazi are off the table, saying in a radio interview, “I don't think that's an option.” Levy said he knows some of the names under consideration, and that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told several candidates, “I considered you for a reserved slot, but I can't commit to you yet.” He declined to name who remains in the running. Likud members approved a quota of eight reserved slots for Netanyahu last month, and Levy said the party's electoral system places its third woman at slot 25.
