Comptroller Flags Oct. 7 Wounded-Evacuation Failures

State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman published a report Tuesday finding that Israel's October 7 wounded-evacuation system was damaged by the same defense failure that let Hamas attack southern communities. The IDF lacked orderly command-and-control with Magen David Adom, clear evacuation points and timely hospital handovers during roughly eight hours of chaos and heroism. The report credits rescue efforts while demanding sharper emergency planning, communication and interagency command for the next mass-casualty attack. Israel honors the murdered, wounded and first responders by fixing the gaps and strengthening civilian defense.
