Givati Ends Lebanon Mission With 1,000 Weapons Found

At 15:15 IDT, the IDF's official English Telegram channel said Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo addressed the Givati Brigade combat team's completion ceremony after an eight-month southern Lebanon mission. The brigade began on the border, then operated offensively in Al-Khiam, Bint Jbeil, north of the Litani and on the Beaufort Ridge, dismantling hundreds of Hezbollah terror sites, eliminating hundreds of Hezbollah terrorists and locating more than 1,000 weapons. Milo said the fighters changed northern Israel's security reality for years. Israel should treat the milestone as proof that persistent ground pressure, not paper assurances, keeps Iranian-backed Hezbollah away from northern communities.
