Government Plans NIS 60.5M for Oct. 7 Party Survivors

The government is expected to approve a new resolution at 14:35 IDT expanding the support package for survivors of the Hamas-led October 7 parties in the Gaza envelope. The plan would allocate about NIS 60.5 million for 2026-2028, following the first February 2024 decision, after data showed only 144 of 728 applicants to the Public Committee Grant track actually used the dedicated rehabilitation basket. Health Ministry guidance and state procurement records show the wider official architecture already includes Welfare, Health and National Insurance support, local-authority programming and Yuvalim rehabilitation. Israel owes these young survivors active help, not benefits that remain only on paper.
