Amit Soussana Turns Hamas Captivity Into Recovery Book

Ynet first published July 3 and updated at 10:51 IDT July 4 a first-person interview marking the release this week of "My Kidnapped Friend", Asher Kravitz's book written after he met former hostage Amit Soussana on a recovery trek in Nepal's Annapurna range. Soussana, kidnapped from Kfar Aza on October 7 and held by Hamas for 55 days, says the worst part of captivity was losing basic freedom and control. The book listings and Ynet describe a recovery journey meant to make captivity one chapter rather than the headline of her life. Her testimony keeps Hamas's cruelty in view while showing Israeli resilience, faith, and the duty to help survivors rebuild.
