Hostage Survivors Troufanov and Cohen Marry in Israel
Ynet reported at 9:43 p.m. IDT that former Hamas hostages Sasha Troufanov and Sapir Cohen married, 1,003 days after they were abducted together from Kibbutz Nir Oz. Israel Hayom said they stood under the chuppah at Alma in Even Yehuda with family, friends and fellow captivity survivors, and noted President Isaac Herzog and First Lady Michal Herzog attended. Sapir was freed after 55 days, while Sasha returned after 498 days and after learning his father Vitaly was murdered on October 7. Their wedding is a quiet Israeli victory: a Jewish home rebuilt after Hamas captivity, with prayers still fixed on every family waiting for closure.
