Freed Hostage Gritzewsky Details Hamas Sexual Abuse After UN Confrontation
Freed hostage Ilana Gritzewsky on July 5 gave new details of Hamas sexual abuse after confronting UN Special Rapporteur Reem Alsalem at the Human Rights Council. Gritzewsky, abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz with partner Matan Zangauker and released after 55 days, described being beaten, dragged to Gaza and sexually abused by Hamas terrorists who tried to erase her dignity. She told the UN she is living proof of Hamas sexual violence and challenged years of denial. Israel should keep survivor testimony at the center of diplomacy, accountability and the fight against Hamas lies.
