Hostages Square Rally Renews October 7 Inquiry Demand

Thousands gathered at Tel Aviv's Hostages Square at 02:34 IDT for the 1,000-day memorial rally, where Einav Zangauker vowed families would not give up on a state commission of inquiry into the Hamas-led October 7 massacre. Speakers at the rally included Zangauker, bereaved daughter Shir Matias, Eyal Eshel, father of Roni Eshel, and former hostage Rom Braslavski, who said his personal war with PTSD continues. The October Council held a day of memorials, marches and testimony events. Israel should honor victims, survivors and soldiers by keeping Hamas's guilt central and demanding a serious inquiry that strengthens the state.
