Mamdani's America 250 Speech Revives Israel-Aid Clash

NYC's official transcript shows Mayor Zohran Mamdani used his America 250 address on July 3 to condemn U.S. taxpayer spending on "bombs and bailouts" while speaking from City Hall with recently naturalized citizens. He has often accused Israel of genocide and opposed U.S. military funding for Israel. For Israel and U.S. Jews, patriotic rhetoric must not become cover for weakening the alliance that helps deter Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran.
