IDF Kills Armed Terrorist in Majdal Zoun Security Zone

IDF English Telegram reported at 21:09 IDT, after Hebrew IDF Telegram and X posts at 20:37-20:39 and a Times of Israel live update at 20:48, that soldiers killed an armed terrorist identified inside the security zone near IDF troops in the Majdal Zoun area of southern Lebanon. The Hebrew IDF post said 551st Brigade forces under the 91st Division opened fire, pursued the gunman and eliminated him after extensive searches to remove the threat. Times of Israel identified him as a Hezbollah operative. The incident shows why Israel keeps active freedom of action in the southern Lebanon security zone: Hezbollah cannot be allowed to reappear near IDF soldiers or northern communities.
