Milwidsky Attacks Attorney General Over Yeshiva Tax Sanctions

ערוץ 7

Finance Committee chair Hanoch Milwidsky on July 5 accused Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara of a political campaign against Torah learners after tax-sanction moves against yeshivas whose students have not regularized military status. The Tax Authority had informed affected yeshivas they would lose tax-deductible donation status. Milwidsky also criticized reliance on the High Court and said he would again photograph his Knesset ballot if a state-comptroller revote is held. Israel needs lawful service enforcement and elected accountability, while protecting Torah learning from punitive campaign politics.
