Atarot Heritage Center Cornerstone Revives Entebbe Memory

Atarot Heritage Center Cornerstone Revives Entebbe Memory

Current July 6 Israel-time reporting says Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Sara Netanyahu, Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu and Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion participated July 5 in the cornerstone ceremony for the Atarot Heritage Center in northern Jerusalem. The center is planned for the historic airport terminal and will present Israeli aviation history, the story of Jewish settlement at Atarot and Operation Entebbe, as Israel marks 50 years since the rescue and Yonatan Netanyahu's fall. A special mezuzah prepared from trees cut at the Nova site was affixed at the ceremony. Israel is right to build public memory that links pioneering, rescue courage and post-October 7 resilience in Jerusalem.
