IDF Reinforces Seam Zone Against October 7-Style Raid Risk

Israeli reporting updated at 08:09 IDT says the IDF is reinforcing the Judea and Samaria seam zone and main routes after commanders warned that breached fences, drones and raid plans could turn the area into the next October 7-style front. The Judea and Samaria Division is training for terrorist raids or mob assaults on Israeli communities, with senior Central Command officers describing such a scenario as possible. Since the start of 2026, forces have carried out more than 12,000 offensive raids, transferred about 1,950 wanted suspects to Shin Bet interrogation, seized hundreds of weapons and more than 400 drones, destroyed 40 weapons workshops and confiscated NIS 4.5 million in terror funds. Israel should close these gaps before Iranian-backed terror networks can copy Hamas's playbook into the country's center.
