Police Freeze NIS 183M in Histadrut Corruption Probe
Police froze roughly NIS 183 million in accounts tied to Menora and several executives as part of the Histadrut corruption probe. Reports say Lahav 433's National Fraud Investigation Unit seized company funds and personal executive accounts after investigators said the case evidence had strengthened. The sub-case centers on suspicions that Menora promoted the signing and renewal of a Histadrut medication-insurance policy through benefits and payments to insurance agent Ezra Gabay, allegedly because he could influence Histadrut chairman Arnon Bar-David. The executives are expected to be summoned for follow-up questioning this week.
