Jerusalem Beauty Salon Poisoning Sends Women to Hospitals

Israel National News

Emergency crews evacuated women from a beauty salon on Sheikh Inbar Street in A-Tur, Jerusalem, after suspected carbon monoxide poisoning or hazardous-substance inhalation. Initial reports put the number of injured or hospitalized women between 12 and 17, with several listed in moderate or serious condition and others lightly hurt. The women were taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem, Hadassah Mount Scopus and Shaare Zedek, while police secured the area to keep evacuation routes open. Fire officials suspected a generator placed illegally at the salon, and the owners were detained for questioning as the investigation continued.
