Indictment Alleges Paid Plot to Attack Former MK Mossi Raz

Prosecutors filed an indictment Thursday against Assaf Israel Aryeh, a 28-year-old Beersheba resident, alleging that he agreed to attack former Meretz MK Mossi Raz for NIS 8,000 after contact with a man who presented himself as a right-wing activist recruiting people for missions. Reports said Aryeh bought an operational phone, carried pepper spray and a knife, photographed Raz's home and then backed away from the physical attack because police vehicles were nearby. The indictment also says he was asked to obtain former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar's address for payment. Raz thanked the Shin Bet, police and prosecutors, and said violence would not deter him.
