IDF Says Oct. 7 Abductor Killed in Southern Gaza Strike

The IDF and Shin Bet said a precise strike in southern Gaza killed Waheed Abu Salam, a Hamas commander in Khan Yunis who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre. The agencies said Abu Salam took part in abducting Israeli civilians to Gaza and later helped hold them captive in the southern Strip. They said he had recently advanced attacks and worked to restore weapons intended to harm IDF troops, making him an immediate threat. The announcement gives official Israeli identification to the Khan Yunis strike and underscores Israel's continuing pursuit of October 7 terrorists and hostage-holders.
