Thai Sailors Sue Over Hormuz Attack During Iran War

Three former crew members of the Thai cargo ship Mayuree Naree filed a July 10 Thai Labour Court claim after the vessel was hit in the Strait of Hormuz on March 11, killing three sailors and leaving 20 rescued. The sailors accuse Precious Shipping-linked defendants and the captain of sending the ship through a dangerous route after Iran's Revolutionary Guards had warned traffic through the strait would be targeted following the U.S.-Israeli campaign against Iran. They say they received two months' wages, suffer post-traumatic stress and cannot keep working at sea.
