Iran Says U.S. Breaches Put Islamabad MOU in Crisis

At a Monday morning press briefing, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said repeated U.S. breaches had pushed the Islamabad memorandum into a "crisis phase," and that Tehran would withhold its own obligations while Washington remained noncompliant. He claimed Washington breached the 14-point framework before a one-month period concerning Iran's Strait of Hormuz obligations had elapsed. Baghaei also alleged that American pressure on Oman had obstructed efforts to establish a joint mechanism for the strategic waterway. The statement came after renewed U.S. strikes and Iranian missile and drone attacks across Gulf states placed the fragile framework under fresh strain.
