MK Michel Buskila Named Next Deputy Foreign Minister

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s approval, decided to appoint Knesset Deputy Speaker MK Michel Buskila as deputy foreign minister. The appointment was submitted for government approval by telephone vote and is scheduled to take effect Thursday evening, 48 hours after Sharren Haskel’s resignation. Buskila serves on the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, chairs its Foreign Policy and Public Diplomacy Subcommittee, and sits on the Intelligence Subcommittee. He will formally assume office after the appointment is announced to the Knesset.
