Haskel Petitions High Court for Urgent One-Member Faction Vote

MK Sharren Haskel filed an urgent High Court petition Thursday seeking an immediate Knesset Committee hearing on her request to leave New Hope's National Right faction and be recognized as a one-member faction. The petition names committee chairman Ofir Katz, the committee and the Knesset, and argues that continued delay could make the request irreversible when the Knesset dissolves. Haskel submitted the faction request after resigning as deputy foreign minister and refusing to join New Hope's merger with Likud. She asked the court for urgent relief requiring the committee to act before dissolution.
