Haskel's Israel First Party
Where it stands
Sharren Haskel sought a separate faction after resigning as deputy foreign minister and launched Israel First. She petitioned for a split hearing, recruited candidates including Jonathan Pollard, and submitted an independent election slate. By October 18, she was campaigning for influence over the character of a Netanyahu-led coalition. On October 21, Haskel called for withholding funding from institutions she accused of denigrating Israel and IDF soldiers; no funding decision was announced.
