Former deputy foreign minister MK Sharren Haskel announced the launch of Israel First, a new right-wing political party aimed at Zionist voters who feel politically unrepresented. The move followed her resignation from the government over legislation freezing arrests of Haredi yeshiva students accused of draft evasion. The party lists strong security, a free economy, educational excellence, expanded civil liberties and Zionist unity among its five principles.
